Description: Very scarce out of print. First (and only) printing/edition. Hardbound brown cloth cover, with the original cover (few tears) 6" by 8.75" size. This is definitely a must have reference book for the pontil medicine collector, this book is used as a reference by all of the major glass auction houses. The bottles that are described in this volume are the one made as early as the 1809 Robertson example and proceed through to about 1859. At which time improved methods of manufacturing these bottles made them less crude (from Foreward).
